In Riehen, Stern Zürn Architekten realized a single-family house with a high standard of finishing and ecological requirements. The load-bearing structure made of reinforced concrete is complemented by interior walls and cladding made of clay. The clay bricks come from the excavation of the neighboring plot and were pressed and bricked on site in collaboration with LEHMAG. The clay plaster comes from LEHMWERK and was processed together with GEORG PAUL and LEHMAG. Clay panels on timber stud walls round off the sustainable material concept and ensure a balanced indoor climate.
